Spring has come to Caledon. It is a beautiful season, Steve and Edyie, the bunnehs, are enjoying the fresh greens along with their usual carrots. The cherry tree is in blossom and white roses grow at the base of the giant tree upon which my house stands. The creek is still frozen, but just. It is no longer safe to go skating upon it.

At the house level the glass bubble protecting the house from winter’s chill has been removed. and the hollyhocks started inside the dome’s protection are in full bloom. Now is a lovely time to sit in the rocking chair with the flowers at your back and watch the sunset over the sea.

I have been busy, like most. Real life, including a teenage son, takes up a lot of time. Work, of course. And SL. I have been fishing there. It’s fun, profitable, and addicting. My husband (same guy in both places) had set up a small beach front with a fishing hut. So I got busy with making some signs, finding some beach furniture, and getting a couple of really cute pet crabs to run around the place. Everything else is my guy’s. The seagulls, the hut itself, terraforming, etc. Also I have started a new line of kid’s accessories, PixelDust Princess. So far we have planetary rings, in which the planets revolve, a series of polka dot bracelets, and custom t-shirts are available. Pics soon.

My husband and I have bought a franchise of a 7seas fishing business. He plans on creating custom fish and I, with my quite limited fashion production history, am going to be sewing custom fishing t-shirts. To make these shirts as nice as possible I will need to use some clip art. So, from time to time, I shall announce here a wonderful place to get free clipart, as part of the terms of obtaining said clip art. The first such place is www.internetclipart.com

I’m sure you have heard about Saint Kitts. The volcano was proclaimed dormat, which I did not believe. I checked it myself and found the layer of frozen lava was thin. Under it was magma in all it’s glory! Orange, red, steamy magma. But the others would not believe. So they had the party. The last party at St. Kitt’s. You see, St. Kitt’s is no more.
During the party it blew. And it blew big. I would show you images, but I am afraid I lost my camera in the blast. People were injured, one missing.
On the bright side a new area of Caledon appeared. Caledon Cavendish was born. The forces for both events are thought to be linked. I do have an image of that -

I have been busy setting up the house in Caledon. It is quite unique. It starts out square and opens up into a round area. Oh, dear reader, a tree grows up out of the roof of the second floor. I have released the bunnehs, George and Gracie. They did look a little exposed so I then had to plant a large knot garden. The bunnehs liked it so much they invited their friend, Harpo, to live in the knot garden. If you have a chance stop by. The bunnehs are amazing, only one prim. After that a very friendly spider was found on the east side of the building. Very pretty, the yellow matches the lamp it lives under. Lets see… Ah, yes, I have created a Caledon flag for Foxberry House, and a geode for my friend Horg. You really should see the mines he works in. Anyway here are a couple of photos, enjoy!

But I have a really good excuse, dear one. I have bought a lease in the Caledon Regency sim. It is wonderful. There is a strong sense of community here. I have been making friends left and right. And only yesterday a house that has not been released to the general market was delivered. The bottom half will be a store for Victorian tinies, the top half living quarters, and above the pine tree is my airship, the Dawn Treader. Pics below, more to follow!

Ok, dear readers, I must admit to ignoring you for the last few (or several) days. I have not done so intentionally, but I have ignored the little voice inside my head that says ‘You must write and tell them what has been going on’. Which seems like a lot of things while it is happening but does not seem like much afterwards. I have in the last two weeks – gone to several classes, made t-shirts for a friend advertising her rental business – RoseHeart Rentals, won a tiny black horse av, and a tiny grey elephant av, spoken with Gov. Shang of Caledon and have been added to the group (so now I dream of a home in Caledon), changed out the White building at the Station, and enjoyed being at a broadcast of old time radio mysteries. What I have not done – sold any more land, created new quilts, nor created new outfits. In short a lot done, a lot undone. Oh well, here’s a pic of the new White building. I think it is much more relaxing than the old one was.

Okay, when I arrived home from my place of employment Sunday that is how my dear son greeted me.
His father and I had made plans that I would go up a tier level in Second Life. This would allow me to keep the land for the Way Station and Booneburrow General Store plus take over the land that contained the tea garden and the Playful Koneko store. I would be responsible for more tier but my husband would be able to go to 0L tier.
Why would we do this? Because when I went up tier and he went down tier we ended up paying the same amount of money for tier each month – but we are now able to have much more land. He became able to obtain another 512 sqm. plot without being responsible for any tier and I still had about 2000 sqm. available for purchase.
By Monday night my husband had found a little 512 sqm. island of his dreams on the auction. He has already planted palm trees, built a simple hut and put up a hammock for two (I promise I won’t take this one over hon!).

I have bought more land that ajoined the Way Station (thanks Mak and Zip!), put a bid in on a piece of land on auction, and bought (and leveled) a beautiful piece of land with great ocean views on two sides.

Hmmm, this land baroness thing just might be fun!

Well I hope, dear reader, that you have had a very enjoyable weekend and holiday. I enjoyed very much having the holiday off work this year and I spent quality time with my darling husband and son.
This last week and weekend have also been extremely busy. I bought land from a very dear friend and move the Booneburrow General Store to the new plot.

After that I moved the Playful Koneko store to the other end of the skybox it is on. I also put out the new design (Summer Love blouse) in several colors, and set up the group gift vendor.

And this morning while my husband and son went out to see a movie I went to a teddy bear making class. So even though it still needs glasses and a quilt to be all mine, I now have a LadyDawn teddy bear.

I do hope you have a chance to check things out.

At last. The break through has come. I have sucessfully made a sleeveless, square-necked, lace trimmed blouse. So I was able to make the whole set. Skirt, slip, glitch pants, blouse on all three layers. As a bonus I also made a pair of matching cuffed pants. That way you can have two outfits for the price of one. Summer should be fun and easy. Check out the picks.
